David Tucker began his career in senior services in 1979 as a nursing assistant. After graduating with a degree in Business Management from Radford University in 1986 David was enrolled in an AIT program with HCMF. Pursuant to his completion of the year long program and licensing as an Administrator, David began overseeing the day to day operations of Heritage Hall in Blacksburg a 194 bed nursing facility.
In 1989 David left HCMF to join MFA the largest provider of nursing services in the Commonwealth of Virginia and opened a facility in the Raleigh Court area of Roanoke. After approximately 7 years David became the President of Continuing Care Services, a subsidiary of the Prince William Health System in northern Virginia. In this capacity David oversaw the operations of Annaburg Manor as well as the Assisted Living, DME and Home Health services offered by the system.
In 1999, David returned to the successor company for HCMF, American HealthCare, LLC. Initially David assumed control of the operations and was later promoted to the position of President and CEO. During his tenure at American HealthCare, David, along with a reformed Board, guided the company through an extensive compliance investigation by the Federal Government and was a key figure in securing the company’s future by assisting in the development of a Corporate Integrity Agreement between American HealthCare and the OIG.
In 2005, David left American HealthCare and along with two partners formed a new Management company along with several new operating entities and three real estate entities. David divested of these holdings in 2016 but remains as an owner in a number of operations and real estate entities managed by CCR and various other real estate ventures.
