Ms. Walter joined the CCR team in April of 2012 bringing with her over 20 years of experience in Long Term Care Administration.
Ms. Walter began her career in senior care upon graduation from college in Social Work and Admissions after spending time working and volunteering around the business office while attending school. She obtained her license as a Nursing Home Administrator in 1996 and held various positions with one of Virginia’s largest providers in Virginia where she demonstrated success with operational results, regulatory compliance, and quality. Ms. Walter also brings experience in working for a health system. During her tenure with Centra Health, she led her team to two national quality awards with the American Health Care Association and various other awards from the Virginia Health Care Association. Ms. Walter was also instrumental in implementation of the quality and patient safety program for Post-Acute Services.
Ms. Walter has served on various Virginia Health Care Association including an appointment to the states Nursing Facility Advisory Committee. Ms. Walter also serves as a Senior Examiner for the National Quality Award Program with the American Health Care Association and often provides education to providers in Virginia on quality and regulatory topics.
Ms. Walter obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration/Biology from Mary Baldwin College and her Master’s degree in Human Services and Executive Leadership from Liberty University.
