Two CCR Centers Earn 2026 AHCA/NCAL Bronze — Commitment to Quality Award

Commonwealth Care of Roanoke is proud to announce that two of its centers, Lee Health & Rehab Center and Potomac Falls Health & Rehab Center, have been named recipients of the 2026 Bronze — Commitment to Quality Award by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL).

The recognition places both centers among an elite and historic group. This year’s program recognized 893 long-term care providers across all 50 states and the District of Columbia, the highest number of Bronze recipients in the program’s 30-year history. Here in Virginia, only 24 providers received the 2026 Bronze Award — and two of them are CCR centers.

What the Award Means

The AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program is widely regarded as one of the most rigorous and meaningful quality recognition programs in long-term care. Built on the framework of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program, it evaluates providers against nationally recognized standards for organizational excellence. The Bronze — Commitment to Quality Award is the first of three progressive levels, followed by Silver and Gold, and it recognizes providers who have built a strong foundation for continuous improvement across all areas of care and operations.

Earning this recognition requires more than filling out an application. Centers must assess their mission, evaluate their systems and processes, and demonstrate a genuine culture of improvement. Applications are reviewed by trained examiners who provide feedback to support each organization’s ongoing quality journey.

A Reflection of Our People

At CCR, we believe quality care begins with the people who show up every day. The teams at Lee Health & Rehab Center and Potomac Falls Health & Rehab Center have demonstrated exactly that: a steady, daily commitment to doing right by the residents and families they serve.

This award is a reflection of their work, their compassion, and their drive to keep getting better. It is also a meaningful signal to the families navigating care decisions: that when your loved one is in one of our centers, they are in the hands of a team that holds itself to a high standard and is always working to raise it.

Part of a Larger Commitment

These recognitions are part of CCR’s broader commitment to quality across all 12 of its Virginia locations. Lee Health & Rehab Center and Potomac Falls Health & Rehab Center join a growing number of CCR centers that have earned this distinction, and together represent 2 of only 24 Virginia providers recognized with the 2026 Bronze Award statewide. That is a distinction that speaks for itself, and one that reflects the standard CCR holds across every center in our family.
