Why I Stay: Chanda Longsworth

Chanda has been an employee of Lee Health and Rehab Center for 16 years. She works as a full time Certified Nurse Aide in the Alzheimer’s Unit. When asked what she liked the most about her position, she answered “Getting to help the residents and hope to make a difference in their lives.”

Her career path was chosen when she came to the realization she wanted to help others and do things for them that show they are loved and cared for. “The smiles on their faces when I come into work or help them with something is such a good feeling. Especially when they tell me that they have missed me and how much I am appreciated for what I do for them daily.”
