When I first started working in the laundry department at Lee Health & Rehab Center, I was only looking for a job to help support my family. However, it didn’t take long until I grew to love the interaction with the residents that I deliver clothing and bedding to every day. It’s nice to talk to them about day to day things and to also reminisce about the “old days”. I love seeing them smile as I walk in their room and when I get a “thank you” for something as small as arranging their clothes in their closet. It makes me feel wanted and needed. I have worked at Lee Health and Rehab Center for 18 and a half years. It is definitely a good place to work because I feel valued for my role here. I wouldn’t change anything about my job and hope to spend more years taking care of our residents.”
